Setting
The cottage, or casita is the guest quarters on the owner's property. This is not a large commercial development. You'll be the only guests on the 4 1/2 acre mountain top estate.
Located
15 minutes South of downtown San Ramon and the Pan American Highway on excellent paved road. 45 minutes from the San Jose airport (SJO) One hour drive to the Pacific beaches. Secure parking.Enjoy the expansive view from the lanai. Most evenings, watch the twinkle of the lights of the coastal city of Puntarenas more than 30 miles away.
Features
The casita is a 500 square foot, one bedroom cabin with a fully furnished Living Room, Kitchen/Eating area. The bathroom has a hair dryer and features a large shower with hot water provided by a demand propane water heater. Perfect for a couple. There's free wireless internet access...Bring your laptop. But if you don't have your own laptop, we have a computer in the owners' house available for your use. It also has MagicJack for free calls to the US and Canada.
A good night's sleep.
The spacious bedroom features a Queen Size Bed with all linens, and a Sealy mattress with box spring, imported from the States. Night-time temperatures on the mountain are usually in the 60s year-round. Ideal sleeping weather! No air conditioning necessary.
There a beautiful hardwood bureau, bedside tables with reading lamps and an alarm clock.
Fully equipped kitchen
The efficiency kitchen is complete with a stove and oven, microwave, small refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, utensils, pots & pans, and a few basic condiments to get you started.
Safe
We've installed a small safe provided in the casita for your use.
Relaxing
Borrow a movie or two from our personal DVD collection of over 1,200 titles to watch each evening on the plasma TV. There's also a cd player / radio, a few books, decks of cards, dominoes, and scrabble.
Or, you may want to just settle into the rocking chairs and enjoy the view.
Walking Trails
Enjoy a walk in the hills on one of our private trails. We currently have more than 600 meters of graveled walking trails, with more being developed every week.
